Ersilio Teifreto account of the visit of the French friends to Ranverso.For the archive of my association AFAA a family to which I belong The Friends Of The Antonines.Since 1999, we have again received the official visit of 25 members of the AFAA association- The Friends Of The Antonines based at the Mother House of the Antonians of Vienna in Saint Antoine L’Abbaye. The municipalities of Rosta and Buttigliera Alta in the province of Turin, the local Proloco, the Fondazione Ordine Mauriziano with the group of faithful volunteers A.S.A.R. Amici di Sant’Antonio Abate di Ranverso welcomed us. The event of Ranverso October 2022 coincided with the month of October 1999 when Master Mons. Italo Ruffino invited the Antonian friends of the Mother House for the Congress he organized: (The Antonians and Europe) was present Mrs. Gisèle Briacult, friend of Don Ruffino and great scholar of the Hospital Order today Gisèle lives in Paris, Ruffino’s book,(HISTOIRE HOSPITALIÈRE ANTONIANA)reports from pag. 123 to p. 129 INQUIRY and from p. 257 to p. 271 HOSPETALIER PATHS. It is always nice to build something with Antonian’s friends who come from far away, among the visitors there was Georges Frechet the historian who in France corresponds closest to the school of the Dean Don Ruffino with whom he collaborated so much that on the book (Hospital History Antoniana) names him pag. 337/345/354 and also writes about the Association AFAA- Les Amis Des Antonins managed by Mr. President Christian Maurel and the entire board of directors, together they study and prepare the biannual magazine (The Antonines) with many images of the sacred places in Sant’Antonio Abate and reference news for citizens, devotees and researchers of History for the Antonian Cult in Europe. I had lunch with them and we exchanged addresses and e-mails, I got to know them for the first time despite the language that we understood each other and I didn’t feel embarrassed considering them Mia Gente.
The official reception of the municipalities of Rosta and Buttigliera Alta was excellent, and French friends were present throughout the visit taking souvenir photos together and we thank them for their support. There was also the Press: Daniele Fenoglio for the newspaper LunaNuova and Andrea Carnino for the newspaper il Tricolore (see attached articles on the AFAA website). The day was rainy but we had no regrets: the visit in autumn to the special village of Ranverso with the leaves falling from the trees in the alleys and was poetic. If there is one person to thank in particular, it is the very talented Serena Fumero, and of course the Mauritian Order Foundation who believed in the presentation of the welcome prepared by Ersilio Teifreto, a dedicated volunteer and AFAA Referent for Ranverso. We thank the AFAA and the municipality of Saint Antoine L’Abbaye who made possible this visit that we will soon exchange, And we hope that thanks to the collaboration of the Cultor Ersilio Teifreto, we will again be able to consider a continuous collaboration between the Mauritian Order Foundation and the AFAA.Cristian Maurel with Ersilio Teifreto Ersilio Teifretoo Teifreto Teifretol the main thought and my plan I work for Ranverso and I see a lot of visitors, I am working to de-season the attendance and let the newspapers know that the Cult for the Saint of Fire is very rooted in the Susa Valley. The definitive affirmation of Ranverso, Buttigliera Alta and Rosta in the national domain to the Cultural Properties of Rome. The growth continues at the international level and requires safeguarding the state of the art in the Religious Museum route of Ranverso.During the meeting with the French friends were present the institutions of the two neighboring countries Rosta and Buttigliera Alta, the prologue, the Mauritian Order Foundation who provided direct testimonies of how “even in Ranverso” can offer a quality product appreciated by the (demanding) visitor. During the visit to the Church of the Preceptory, Prof. Mauro Pecchenino University Professor in Communication who provided his contribution in the dual role of friend of Ersilio, of the Antonians and devotee to the Saint of Fire. The emphasis was placed on the need for an ever more concrete and tangible combination between Saint Antoine de Ranverso and the French Mother House. “Today, a path of valorization of the Antonian tradition with the intention of involving the two communities”, to increase tourism, the opening after Covid in Saint Antoine de Ranverso was inaugurated by a bus of about 60 people from Grenoble France ,we hope that these exchanges between the two Antonian places will also continue in other seasons to seasonalize the flow of visitors between Ranverso and the abbey of the mother house which is 3 hours from us explains Ersilio Teifreto.
